FOR A
Year

Don't let this discourage you, but sometimes just the training can take a year. It's super important that the teams implementing the Restorative Justice plan truly believe in the RJ principles and practice them so they can have confidence when they bring RJ into the classroom.

TRAIN
Everyone

Restorative Justice can involve anyone in the school community at any level of intervention:

Tier 1 - School-wide practices include identifying common values, developing healthy relationships, and promoting a sense of belonging and ownership.

Tier 2 - Class or small group circles provide a way to manage difficulty by resolving harm done and building social-emotional capacity.

Tier 3 - 1:1 or very small group conferences to repair more-serious harm and to reintegrate students back into the school.
